3 Week old FTR Carbon. Dash confused

So I have had my 22 Carbon for about 3 weeks and yesterday, a bright sunny day and my dash kept going to the night setting display and I have my Dash set to auto.
It would flash back and forth, dark/light/dark, etc. And it stuck on the dark background displayed.
I thought there might be a sensor on the front, side, bottom might might be restricted, like a bug, dust, etc, but see no such thing, must sense from the face of the display..
?? Not sure what to do, and not that big of a deal, but thought, strange.

I would guess that sensor is behind the display itself. But either way, this seems like warranty.

I don't have an event like you, but I have permanently set the display to dark. I personally like it more than the other.

i had that happen once after I gave it a wet wash but it was fine again in a day.

Just now,
Rode it back to work for lunch, and it worked perfectly. No wash's or anything, so who knows.
Man, this bike is torquey and fun.

My 2019 occasionally gets confused if its day or night, not a major issue. if it bothers me I adjust it manually.

I also don't mind keeping it in night mode during the day, screen is bright enough that during the day it's still visible.

I always have it in dark mode, which makes the display visually larger as it blends in with the black bezel.
