About how much would it cost to fix a dropped 22 FTR Carbon R?

I have an old friend coming to visit and he USED to ride motorcycles back in the day (been like 10 yrs). Trying to assess the risk cost of lending the bike to him for old time's sake and him dropping it. He hasn't ridden in years AND he's only ridden low seated cruisers/baggers.

Guessing I'll at least need to replace the radiator and the clasps/plastic side covers. I wouldn't mind if the clutch/brake levers broke since I've been meaning to upgrade them to adjustable ones anyway.

He could also bend the frame, let alone the upper and lower trees could tweak. Old time sake for WOT?

I love the bike, but if a simple drop is enough to bend the frame, I'll just get a XSR 900....

A simple drop will most likely not twist the frame or lower tree.

The point I meant was the energy diminishing to the bars touching the ground and move the stem of the tree to an S or Z bend, the upper crown twists so the fork splits shows one split higher than the other, and paint cracked at the neck area, more at the weld points.

So you'd more pick it up off the ground, ride the bike and the bars twist one way, the front wheel pointed straight as you ride away. For sure is a twisted tree and crown as stated above.

I'm talking at highway or street speeds. Frame would show cracks at the neck if the speed was say above 60 mph. Only way to make the front end straight again are replacing the upper and lower trees... meaning, upper crown and lower triple tree.

A drop does not have the energy to twist things, Break levers, tweak the handle bars yes. Crown and frame, no... usually.

Just say no.

yeah I have only a handful of people I would loan one of my bikes to, and definitely not to someone who hasn't ridden in years and only ridden cruisers.
Rent something for him.

Yeah good idea, I'll just say no. Not worth the stress.

Probably cheaper to buy something for him to ride than repair an FTR?

Just to be clear, I don't expect him to drop it. I'd say there's like a 2% chance he drops it. Just trying to figure out if the 2% does come to happen, how much I can be out lol. I'm an insurance adjuster so my head is just naturally weighing risk at all times.

There is also a chance that if it were to topple over on the right hand side the radiator cap that juts out could take the impact which as an integral part of the rad and would require an entirely new one.
