The other day I noticed my right mirror was a little loose. I went in today to tighten it. That didn’t work so I got to fully inspecting my right mirror, adapter and turn signal.

These are all motogadet parts. Upon asking the google wizard I found the diagram of the adapter. Realizing the turn signal wire travels through the bolt (reviews say don’t overtighten it can snap more in a second) I now have to fish a line though the center of my bar. Which will be a PIA. Not wanting to deal with fishing a line I decided to inspect the adapter housing I put some wd40 earlier and the adapter pulled right out and I noticed the previous owner used electrical tape around the housing inside the bar. Not the other tapered sleeve. My train of thought here was to cut the handle bar end and splice a new connector however when I pulled out the adapter housing there is no bolt or there is deep inside my handlebar. The left mirror adapter is just fine. So either they lost the sleeve or installed the right first then left and did it right?

I already tried to over tighten the mirror mount to the signal however the adapter housing is still loose. I’ve hit a road block in my options. So I’m open to any insight, I m considering doing what ferraiolo did with his turn signals in the front (have the parts) and get crg hindsight’s put on. I also noticed the left side must have taken a slight drop because it was bent slightly and cracked at the bottom. Lastly I reached out to motogadget I await their reply on what to do. I like the motogadet look I’m hoping to keep it. They have nice Products.

It's called E6000 or Amazing Goop Glue. I use this instead of drill and tap or use nuts and bolts. Stuff is amazing to use. Let it setup for 24hrs or more. It's my goto for things needing a special place no drill or tap can enter.

Interesting. I used a product called sugru for my GoPro chin mount. (Now a special company makes these) sugru was to fill the void around the mount for a permanent mount. I don’t really want to utilize glue inside of a handlebar especially if I want to remove it. I would like the ability to cut and use chemicals to weaken that bond. The company got back to me and my Id is approx 13.8 which could be 14mm. They recommend a ID of 16. So this was clearly a diy and make it a diy job
