I’ve got a 22’ FTR R Carbon with a little over 4k miles on it and I’ve begun to notice some light scratches/marring on the tank covers. Mostly right where the cover and the seat meet, so I assume it must be my riding jeans and seams rubbing up against the tank covers while riding. I haven’t used tank pads, and I hate to think of the long term and what may happen over time to that great finish on the Carbon covers.
Anyone else experience this? Or have a tried and true rememdy to buff them out? I tried 3M scratch remover, but its debateable as to whether or not it made a difference!
