Love how that turned out! The bike/damper I started this thread with were lost in a garage fire last summer. Now that I have another FTR I'll most likely give it another shot. Great work!!!

Well I build hot rods and rat rods, so I guess that checks out. I tracked/raced a 2006 Honda RC51 for years and I built a similar system for it as well. Absolutely loved it. Your comment, while fairly rude and closed minded, is still appreciated.

Thank you for the input! If you get a chance I'd love to see a picture of where the tach is plugged in currently on your bike. Also a picture of the inside of the inside of the connector going to the tach, like the one I posted above, would be AWESOME! I believe in the last picture you posted up...

EDIT: Never mind I just saw your previous reply. :ROFLMAO: Do you have any idea if this is a direct fit? They have another one with an anodized flange that looks pretty slick but I imagine it would be too large for the FTR opening. I'm at work and don't have the bike here to measure.

I have a 2019 base and the cap is the same way as you describe. Always a battle getting it off and on. With 9k miles and adding nearly 100 a day (I bought a 2019 leftover in 2021) I'm getting tired of it. Honestly I'd be fine with an aftermarket non-locking solution and might look into it.

Wouldn't be the first or last time I've spent money on only a hunch and willingness to make it work. :ROFLMAO:

I was originally going to do the classic green, yellow, red LED light strip setup along the top of the speedo, but when I found this one it just fits the look so much better IMO.

I ended up finding one at a dealer in NY and it will be here late next week. Looking forward to getting it installed and I'll post up pictures once complete.
