I went with the S&S slip-on. Its lighter than stock, but was disappointed with the sound when I first installed it. I removed the DB reducer, but then it was too loud haha. I do a lot of higher speed cruising and the drone of a loud pipe can be a bit much. I cut about 2 inches off the length of...
That plug goes here.
Probably just an extra one, but I’d check and make sure. That’s where the pigtail for the rear turn signals goes in. Also, If I only do city riding, I probably get like 85-90 miles a tank. Highway I can get up to 130, but that’s pushing it.
No problem! I actually just figured this out a couple weeks ago and was excited to share. Makes me appreciate both the Packtalk and ride command a lot more now that things are correctly set up.
The Cardo(if it’s the Packtalk bold or slim) has 2 Bluetooth channels. You need your phone and Packtalk paired to each other, and both paired to the bike, separately.
First, pair your phone to your ride command. Then pair the phone and the Cardo. After your phone is paired to both, pair your...
Did about 300 miles yesterday. Stopped in a small town that basically had nothing but this little bar and grill. Got some extremely healthy food.
Then returned home to find, for the second time, my license plate light is broken.
I guess now the light’s in a somewhat precarious position, but...
I second the Nelson Rigg tail bags. I also have the Nelson Rigg Trails End Dual Sport/Enduro Tail Bag. Thing fits like a glove and actually looks really good on the FTR.
This actually worked great! Only issue is my Packtalk can’t be connected to both my bike and my phone at the same time so I can’t use any of the phone voice commands. Oh well though. It’s nice to be able to pause my music now without having to take out my phone to play it again.
You can just connect your phone to Ride command, then make sure the audio output on the phone is going through your ear buds, not your bike
if the check mark is next to ‘Indian FTR’ no sound will come through. The only thing you can really do is skip songs. If you pause, then try to play, the...
Okay, so finally springtime here in the central US, and I’ve gotten a chance to ride a little more. Definitely a thumbs down on the NRC turn signals. They do clean up the looks of the bike without having to do any splicing or buying new brackets, they also look great at night, but they are...
Got the Packtalk bold for Christmas, but have only gotten a couple rides in because of this cold, snowy winter! Definitely an upgrade from my $30 Amazon comm unit hah! Surprisingly worked really good as a comm unit, but absolute garbage for music.
