    Playing devils advocate... my understanding (I'm not a physicist) is that frame sliders are great at protecting machines when they fall over at a standstill. At speed however they "catch" the floor, curbs or worse dig into soft ground causing the bike to tumble. This in turn, causes more damage...

    Holy snapping ducks bum.... that's expensive, here that's $37.600nzd... I'm sure she is such a wonderful girlfriend and she would love riding lessons and her own bike :) Mind you think that's why I'm still singe bahaha Good luck and hope you make the best decision irrespective of what that is

    Would be fair to say the takas (Rimutaka Hills) will see a new level of Indian attacks ;) There are a few nice hills on the other side (South Island) so a ferry trip or two may be in order. Thanks to everyone else for the warm welcome.

    Hi all New convert to Indian and American bikes. Just literally taken possession of a 2020 FRT1200S. Have had so may rice burners over the years across all the Japanese range. Currently living in the Lower North Island, work 6 days a week so riding time get limited. Love twisty, straight line...
