I understand cruise control on a bike is likely gonna be imperfect. Though if I lock it in at 65mph in 6th it is perfect. Higher or lower speeds, depending on gear and rpm it starts rocking back and forth. I'm mainly annoyed with it doing the same thing in different gears at different rpm...

Yeh they're supposed to reduce engine heat on your legs, which from a short test drive on a 19, it works.

Installed some cheap China turn signals on my 2022 FTR base. They look soooo much better. I actually don't mind the rear fender look and I don't plan on replacing it... it just needed a little drilling in the plastic to make new signals screw in. Front was a different story.... no way to mount...

I believe you're asking about the Akrapovic exhaust that has needs the drilling at 8 o'clock. Only way I've seen it done on that exhaust.

Yeh the S has the akrapovic exhaust. The base model has a different exhaust.

Well I'm shifting per Indians own recommendations in their manual. 3,500rpm should not be a problem on a 2022 15k bike.... and if I'm going 75mph and set the cruise I expect a smooth ride, not for it to rock me to sleep.

Update. Spoke with Indian rep before I brought it in for the 500 mile service. Told him i was still having same issue... He said they have a new calibration that will hopefully fix it. Got service done and apparently they updated the ecu. Unfortunately I'm still having the same problem. Around...

I don't think it was Indians decision since on the 19s you could simply unscrew and pull the cat converter off. Probably California or euro restrictions that made them do it. There isn't much to picture. You need a 1 3/8" hole saw bit and use it to cut into the muffler around the tip.. or cut...

So the bike is way to quiet with stock exhaust. It sound like a moped instead of a 1200 v twin. And since Indian decided to weld everything up to the muffler, making it harder to remove the cat on the 2022 model, I figured I'd remove the baffles from the stock exhaust while I wait for a solution...

Yeh I dunno. I'll play along for now. Though I think I've found the solution... always be accelerating! Not hard on this bike!! Except for when you need to slow down. Lol it's such a beast.

That's what the indian techs told the rep at the dealer to tell me... lol like really, even if, how did you build such a slow learning bike. Bs anyway cuz I haven't heard of this issue in any reviews. I think they changed the mapping.

Their excuse was because it's fly by wire it has to learn where open and close is.... I'm like ok, sure. Indians gonna be paying for my first service and then some when it turns out that's not the case.

On the bright side new mirrors look great.

Speaking of exhaust... one thing I hate on this model... the entire exhaust is welded together, except for the muffler. As in there's no decoupling the cat from the manifold pipes. And they made the 2 to 1 oblong, so no easy cutting it off and using a joint pipe. I'm guessing California strikes...

Got it back from the dealer. Tech said he noticed the jerkiness also and said it felt worse than the 19... which is what I said. Indian tech support wants me to put 300 miles on it. Saying the ecu is still learning... I call BS. I'll update when I have something. Right now it's annoying to ride...
