Not sure why you have such a pissy attitude, but it is widely known that the FTR stock as a surging issue around 3000-4500 rpm. You can set the cruise and not touch the throttle and it surges, this is well documented across the web. Sure you can look at a dyno chart and see that it has a torque...
You seem to be in the know. Can you tell me what the difference is between the 19-20 low mount full system and the 22+ low mount full system? From my understanding they should be exactly the same, but for some reason the 22+ cost $50 more.
I'm on the fence about selling my ftr for the z900rs. The things I hate about the FTR, are terrible fuel mapping stock, rideable with a tune but still not right, gearbox issues on 1-2 upshift and 5-6 upshift, terrible fuel range, 19"/18" tires. The love list is much shorter, the motor is...
Disregard, I was thinking of a different motorcycle and forgot these are drive by wire. Not sure if these do the same learning like other Indian models but it might be worth a try if this hasn't been done...
Have you checked the TPS yet? If that gets rotated it could be causing similar problems. Also, not sure if these bikes have a fuel cut when the butterfly is closed, but if it does that could be a culprit as well.
Thanks for this update. Just solidifies my intent to sell mine as well. I don't think I've read of one good experience someone has had dealing with an Indian dealership. I've been fortunate enough that I haven't had to take mine in, since the nearest dealer to me is 140 miles away. But I feel...
I own a 19 sport and it's been nothing but problems. I only have 3,500 miles on it, and I'm already looking for a replacement. From the issues with the fuel mapping, to a gearbox that either clucks/grinds/or its false neutrals, to a battery that wouldn't hold a charge from the factory, this...
This is a known problem. I thought I fixed the issue switching to the GSXR shift arm, but it's still there. 1-2 shifts and 5-6 shift are clunky and often end up in neutral or false neutral. I have a few more months on my warranty and I want to take it in but I have a feeling that Indian isn't...
I just noticed the other day riding that the horn wasn’t working. Once I got home I tried it with the bike off and the key on and I could hear the horn relay click when the button was pressed. Swapped the relay from the fan which does work and it still just clicks. What am I missing?
Just wanted to update this thread. I put on the GSXR shift arm and it made a considerable difference. Shifting is still a little clunky from 1st to 2nd, but I haven't hit neutral on accident or had a grinding shift since putting it on. Highly recommend this item to clean up shifts, and just make...
I'm running a ebay chinese link pipe and have had zero issues. I didn't use the stock exhaust so I can't comment on that fitment, but it fit the head pipe and the exhaust hanger fine.
Interested to see what you find out. My 2019 1200S is very notchy when shifting from 1st to 2nd and if i'm not diligent in my upshift, I end up in neutral or it wants to clunk/grind into 2nd. This is with the clutch fully pulled in, and I don't run any slack in my clutch cable. Doesn't matter...
I started off racing flattrack in the Super Hooligan national series on a Harley. Did that for a few years and even managed to make my way to competing in the X-Games. The Harleys were a close match to the Scouts that Roland was putting out at the time, as long as you had a 1250 kit, cams, and...
