I've been thinking about making my own Indian Sport-bike since I doubt the factory is interested in that niche. I like the idea of a rounded half-fairing along the lines of a Paul Smart, MG V11, Sprint 900 or HD VR1000 depending on clip-on location (above or below top triple).
The first two are definitely the more dedicated ergonomics. The Sprint is probably the most relaxed of the four examples. A buddy had one years ago and it was excellent, rowdy and visceral, a real "roadster" experience that I think would work for the FTR as well.
Just looking for ideas or if anyone has tried something similar...
