Unfortunately too far for a weekened trip and too close to my family holiday trip (in the opposite direction) to spend more days in Denmark.

For my Buell, I purchased a second seat and built my own rack. Should be possible for the FTR as well

I wonder how you can play the album and charge the ebook on a dessert island 🤣 So I would choose the paper version of Jim Pipe's "How to survive on a dessert island" and my Ukulele.🎸;)

I have the 2liter canister from Fuelfriend and the Hünersdorff filler plug (both from Louis). A second 2 liter can would fit into the bag but 2 liters are enough hopefully :-).

I used the Grab handle to strap down a racepack and used the side back for additional fuel and some tools. The Racepack is good for a two weeks trip. I now have the luggage rack to put rain clothes separately on the rear.

three posts, five opinions ... ☺️ ... I guess you expected something like that. It is not something that I would like on my FTR but it looks like a first step into a madmax kind of custom bike. If the rest of the customization follows ... why not?

Just release the latch on the seat side and and fold it to the front. Done in seconds. Fuelling takes longer :-).

With the black coated heat shields the exhaust looks so much better. Nice bike (y)

Did you test-ride the 1. Gen or 2. Gen FTR (with 17" wheels)? It is a difference and may should play a role in your choice. I love my 1. Gen "S" but never tested the newer one. Regarding "Base" vs. "S" : You can add the S&S Engine Control Manager to the base model to get the ride modes...

It's the second time you say this. I am wondering why you buy ... in your words ... the ugliest and most disappointing motorcycle? Of course it is a question of personal taste, but most people buy bikes they like .... :unsure:. Parts of the built are really nice but I also do not like the seat...
