Performance Mods - Best Bang for Your Buck

What are the benefits there. It fixes the cold start issue, no more surging I’ve read about...what else? Again I apologize for the rookie questions. Appreciate the response though!

Performance Mods - Best Bang for Your Buck

Hey guys, I’m not as mechanically inclined as most of you, so have a rookie question for you all. What’s the best bang for your buck when doing performance mods for more HP? I gather everyone is jumping on fuel mapping and exhaust out of the gate!

    Bad Boys 4 Life

Came here to confirm if the FTR is in the new movie. Got much more. I appreciate both of you and your contributions/information.

I agree 100% but unfortunately that’s not in the cards for me with a little one on the way!

    (Most probably) new FTR Biker:-)

congratulations! I’m looking to buy an fTR for much the same riding style, and was looking at a lot of the same additions. Please update this with your experience as you log some kms! I’d love the reviews on the bike, comfort, and tank bag. Have fun!

    Larger rear sprocket.

Can the FTR power wheelie on stock gearing? how about with the bigger sprocket?

Was that at Cycleworks? I saw they had their demo model on for $17K right now. I dont think there are any bike updates happening in 2020, but i'm wondering when some of these dealerships are going to drop the price of the 19's to clear them out...as i haven't seen anything yet. Where as i saw a...

    Additional Fuel Storage?

Thanks for the replies Unruly Rider and K9F. That is reeeeal helpful. I get the FTR, you're right. Given its snowy here though i'll likely wait until the new year and see if they drop the prices on the 2019's at all.

    Additional Fuel Storage?

yes coming from my street bob it'll be great for sure. and i am not ever going to the track. i live 30 minutes from the foothills/rockies in Alberta, so likely TONS of usable power. and of course it looks amazing. it's really a no brainer, just when i look at it on paper beside other bikes the...

    Additional Fuel Storage?

Thanks for the quick responses! Yes i can appreciate they're very different, but aside from those sport bikes I've only ridden HD cruisers (Sportster/Dyna/Softtail)...so as i said just trying to gauge. Thank you!

    Additional Fuel Storage?

I haven't ridden one (its winter here), but trying to gauge the power/speed, since were talking about it now. I used to have a CBR600RR, and a ZX6R (Ninja)....would the 1200 be comparable to those, being it is apparently slow for its size? Or if not, what would you compare it to?

    How's the touring?

Hey everyone, Looks like there are no FTR touring specific posts yet, so I thought I'd start one. What have your touring experiences been? I'm wondering about your: - Daily range - How the seat felt or what seat you're on (could you walk after? lol) - How were the ergonomics after a full day...

    Additional Fuel Storage?

Sorry to hear about your luck! and thanks for passing this on. i had read a few forums about shotty build quality in general about the KTM's. something about their build location (india vs. austria?)...but i haven't researched it too in depth. I've found a FTR S Race Replica for $17K Cad (MSPR...

    Additional Fuel Storage?

Thanks for the information. sounds like this bike will be perfect then. And i agree that a break is needed anyways, but the extra fuel is likely more for peace of mind than anything (as another member mentioned). I've learned that i have a kid on the way also, so i likely don't need to worry...

    Additional Fuel Storage?

Hey thanks for the info. maybe that's the case anyways. Are you on the stock seat? i'd welcome any other impressions you have of the FTR....though by joining this forum i must be mostly sold.

Hey everyone! I've been glued to youtube/google/forums on both the FTR and KTM SDR for the past few months. I'm selling my 2019 Street bob to make a change while i wait through thsi winter in Alberta. Unsure which direction to go as there are pros/cons and preferences factoring in. Nothing...

    Additional Fuel Storage?

Hey everyone, I'm brand new here and am debating between buying an FTR or a KTM SDR. Two very different bikes i know. I am in love with the FTR, but can't get over the limited fuel capacity it has. This is ok 80% of the time, but i usually take an annual bike trip for a week or so for ~3500...
