Apply gloss clearcoat to Akrapovic carbon fiber heat shields

I want to gloss clear coat the Akrapovic carbon fiber heat shields, including the one on the header, to match the finish on the Indian carbon fiber parts. Has anyone else done this? Paint requirements for heat and UV protection??
I have added the Indian CF airbox covers, front fender, and headlight nacelle. I will be installing the Akrapovic titanium header.

Did you buy that upper heat shield? My carbon did not come with that one carbon fiber.

It's not necessary but it does look nice on the bike when they all have matching gloss finishes......welcome to my ocd world. View attachment 4078

Damnit those good bolts look good. I may have to start picking those up to go with my “black and gold” theme I’ve got going….

FYI, I used Rustoleum Universal High Gloss paint. Worked out well. I do not think that heat is going to be an issue with carbon Fiber. I masked the logos and sanded before painting.

It’s holding up well. It seemed like it took forever to dry/cure. Heat does not affect the cf heat shields.
