Mike at Pitt Cycles rebuilt the Scout! The last step was to add a better battery. The stock battery had 245 cold cranking amps the new one has 480. Almost double at a fraction of the weight! Mike hooked up extra oxygen sensors to connect to the computer. We are waiting for the PV3 to arrive and then Mike and Ryan at Lloydz can get it started and develop a custom tune.
Mike sent me a video of it cranking over. No horrific noises or grinding! Not sure I can attach the cell phone video.
This is what he said: “Hahaha! Yea no grinding I hand rotated it yesterday and did a leak down test once I set the timing everything was good, plus I had a hearty helping of assembly lube on everything just in case 😉.”
More pictures to come on the rebuild. I will post them later today.C26BE575-AE12-4E36-A880-CADC1CCDBAD7.jpeg198A8B8E-5B01-4726-80EE-A42B03F68DD2.jpeg1956B4FC-7367-4215-84DA-6D440ACA92F3.jpeg

Mike could not find the actual Dyno sheet from the Scout he did last year with everything similar to mine but no Andrews cams, but he said it made 110hp at the rear wheel. I am hopeful my Scout will do even better!

We’ll it’s buttoned up ready and to get its tune once we get the PV3. The cables and hoses are for the tunning process they will be removed once done. Cables are wide-band oxygen sensors and the tubing is so it can sample fresh oxygen.

I owned the first of the Harley 1200 Sportsters when it first became available. I was turning 40 and felt very old and wanted a faster Harley than the 883 that was available. Purchased it in L.A. and got sent sight unseen to me in Auckland, NZ.

I owned it for nine years, but one ride on a Guzzi made me switch! A bike that actually talked back to me!
I had a modified 1990 Mille. I told the harley people it sounds and runs Like a harley should
