Stickiest tire for stock wheels?

What is the stickiest tire I can put on the stock wheel size? I’m looking for tires for closed circuit racecourse. Yes.... I’m fully aware 17” wheels I can get race slicks. I’m asking for stock wheel size for now. Thanks 🤘

Bridgestone T31
Continental Road Attack 3

both require a 160/60-18 rear btw
Just about to do this change for the second time. Got talked into the
MICHELIN ANAKEE ADVENTURE. Big mistake. As just won’t do the right stuff with confidence. Step in the right direction but not for pushing it through the corners.

I I agree. These tires came standard on my Moto Guzzi V85TT. I hated them, especially when losing the front traction on a wet road with very strong side winds. They were replaced with Michelin Road 5 Trail @ 4320 kM, much better but I'm not going to say as good as is being recommended above. They were the only alternative in my wheel sizes -110/80 x R19 on the front, and 150/70 x R17 for the rear.

After a track day, you can see how the stock tires don’t heat up too well. Obviously these are tracker tires and not meant for closed circuit race course. Yes I know 17” rims will give me all the options we can dreams, but that will be coming soon.

Outside of the tires - How did the FTR do on the track? (I have seen very few posts or videos of the FTR 1200 on a closed circuit.) Was it competitive with other bikes of comparable size in your skill level class?

I'm happy with the Pirelli Scorpion Trail, I don't know how they compare to the Michelin or any other tyres but beat the hell out of the original tyres. IMG_20201005_214719.jpg

careful with those, they are a cruiser tire, they will step out on you if you're aggressive.

originals stepped out regular, now got more lean and corner speed only one hairy moment on a damp rd after a hot day and summer shower came through

Any cruiser tire marketed as “performance”

watch for, they aren’t much better than the oem tires.
