Since people are sometimes looking for different bars, it would be nice to know the dimensions of the stock ones first. I did my best to measure the stock ones. Heart to heart.

ProtaperContourDimensionsA-1.jpg

A. width: 800mm
B. height: 135mm
C. rise: 75mm
D. clamp area: ~180mm (minimum required by our bikes is 120mm)
E. sweep: 95mm
F. control area: 245mm (minimum required on the FTR is 220mm, due to big switch clusters)

The 2022 bars have the exact same shape, but are 20mm narrower.

I replaced the stock bars on my 2023 FTR S with the FTR Pro Taper Rally Bars. They are a bit taller and raked back so I am sitting up straighter and not crouched over the tank.

@Max Kool I see the control clamping area is recommended to be at least 220mm. I notice you mounted the Protaper ACF bend which is listed to only have a 180mm control area. Did you have to make any adjustments or did it simply bolt on with no clearance issues? Looking into buying the same bars.

I had no clearance issues. The distance between the bar clamps is way less than 220mm (just measure on your own bike).

Yes correct, but I meant the area where the grips, master cylinder etc are mounted. Sorry if I expressed myself wrongly.

That is supposed to be 220 long, but the carmichael version is showing 190

Ah ok, my bad. I just measured that, it's 270mm. Plenty of room.
