Hello,
I have the rear luggage rack and wanted to add the side rack.
Came across the SW-MOTECH slc rack but does not fit with the rear rack.
Has anyone tried this combo and able to make it work?
Thinking I'm going to have to return

I have the same issue. I’m considering sawing off the mounting plate and repositioning it to attach to the accessory bracket.

I made it work! I was going to cut that arm off that mounts to rear peg, but wanted to keep in case I ever want to take rear rack off and just use side SLC rack.
The arm braces against the rear peg and used longer bolts to mount to bike through the rear rack.
Its very sturdy, I stood on it...solid.
But if cut that arm off, am confident will be very sturdy for whatever weight could even carry in a bag

Thanks for posting the pics. I may have to try it out before making any cuts. Which bag did you get for it?

Just have to make sure you want the passenger peg up or down when installing as again, that arm will brace against it.
If closed, the arm actually kind of sits in the rear peg.
I didn't get a bag yet as wanted to test bracket first but now that I've fit it,, going either Urban ABS or the Legend all black bag....can't decide

After some cutting and welding, I was able to make the SW-Motech side rack fit perfectly with the rear rack.

Thats awesome...no welding experience here. I ended up just cutting the arm off and is plenty sturdy without it.

I probably should’ve done the same. It took a lot more time than it was worth. My welds looked like fried popcorn, so I spent a few hours smoothing it out.

Yeah, before i cut mine off, that arm was not attached or touching anything, i put all my weight on it, ect and was solid. Figure with my bag its not going to have a ton of weight anyway and decided to cut it. Looks good, works great and the sw sys bag 15 is a perfect size.

Looks like you got your answer, cut the lower arm off don’t need it you’ll probably only carry a jacket rain suit and stuff like that anyway
