tuning query reg. fuel economy

Hi there,
the brand new bike (400km) i just got has this limiter built in the ecu so the power peaks at 89hp and max torque becomes 90nm comparing to the original 123hp and 120nm. While sitting at the fuel economy of 7litre/100km or 33.6mpg (mostly highway riding), i wonder how it will impact the fueling if i flash the ecu to original? i know the pv tuning with custom map may increase the airfuel ratio to make an even lower mpg but not sure about ecu flashing to restore to original power... anyone?

Do bikes going to China get different intake and exhaust parts to go along with the under-powered tune? May be worth checking out.

More hp won’t lead to a lower mpg, unless you use those extra hp all the time. Which is pretty much impossible in traffic.

nah, only the ecm limiter. I got Akra pipe and ohlins shocks together with other blings as other ftr carbon owners have.
