Even its an old thread , new FTR riders might welcome ideas… tail tidy number plate holder as mudguard, works fantastic in combination with the original tail (which I do very much like)… dry and clean jacket rear wherever, whenever… come spring/summer off it goes until next mud and rain and snow season.
